What's going on now?
The club has grown again since Christmas, we currently have 40 - 50 students attend our weekly sessions.

The classes are defined by age, ability and experience.
So no matter your what your level may initially be, we will be able to develop your needs and monitor your progress with the aid of one of our dedicated instructors.

History of Our Club

We have been practicing at the leisure centre since 1995, our classes mainly consist of primary and junior grades with the support from an elected committee mainly compromising of adult family members as well as practicing judoka.

The club is a member of the British judo Council, which is affiliated to the British Judo association.

Club philosophy which is practiced by our instructors is to maintain a good standard of judo through continual development of our students. Kuy shin do principles as was practiced by Kenshiro Abbey.

Once a student has demonstrated a degree of competence they will periodically attend a grading events which they will be assessed against national agreed standards.

However it should be stressed that we feel that at an early age that fun as well as discipline and hard work should be the foundation stones for a good Judoka.
